Chef Ralph Pausina has over 40 years of culinary experience throughout the US. A native New Orleanian, his love of food started with his Croatian family’s oyster cultivating business. Enjoying the freshest seafood straight from the water, and after a stint on the family’s oyster boats, he realized his passion to be a chef and to share these culinary experiences.

Ralph started his career apprenticing for Chef Paul Prudhomme at Commander’s Palace. He then went on to hone his chef and management skills working for acclaimed restaurant groups, including Lettuce Entertain You, Pappas Restaurants, Dragos Restaurants, and Creole Cuisine Concepts. He has also successfully owned and operated his own restaurants in the New Orleans area including the highly praised Barataria.

Ralph is married and has four children and two grandchildren.
