Yvonne Elaine Alciatore Blount 85 was born and raised in New Orleans, peacefully passed away on August 20, 2022. She is the only child of Roy Louis Alciatore and Mary Pearl Duggan Alciatore. Yvonne is a descendant of Antoine Alciatore, Founder of Antoine’s Restaurant the country’s oldest family-run restaurant located in the heart of the French Quarter. Yvonne is a fourth-generation restaurateur and her son Rick Blount, is fifth generation and current CEO.

Yvonne attended Ursuline Academy as a boarding student for 5th – 8th grades and was a day student for 9th-12 grades. She also made her Confirmation at Ursuline Academy. Yvonne was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution-1776 Chapter. She was also a member of Southern Yacht Club and belonged to St. Dominic’s Parish. One of her many loves was traveling. She absolutely loved taking cruises. She was member of Mid South Women in Toursim and also Travel Agents of Greater New Orleans. She also worked as a travel agent at New Orleans World Travel. She has held many volunteer positions in her time. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for five years. Past-President of St. Dominic’s Mothers Club, Co-Chair of the St. Dominic’s Spring Fair, member of St Dominic Parish for more than 60 years. She was also Past- President of the Ursuline Academy Alumnae Association Board. She was Class Captain for the Serviam Annual Fund and a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She also served in parish ministry by taking Communion to the homebound. She was a past President of the St. Dominic Chapter Dominican Laity and member of the Parish Council.

Mrs. Blount is preceded in death by her parents Roy Louis Alciatore and Mary Pearl Duggan Alciatore , former husband Frederick Blount (1st Marriage), Former husband David Davis( 2nd Marriage) and son Robert (Bobby) Alciatore Blount.

Mrs. Blount is survived by her six children and their spouses, Kathy Becker, (Ferdinand) Rick Blount, (Lisa) Jerry Blount, Cindy Padgett (Rafe) Timothy Blount (Pamela), William Blount; and 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at St Dominic Church, 775 Harrison Ave., New Orleans, LA 70124 on Thursday September 1, 2022 beginning at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 12:00 pm.

There will be a private family burial immediately following services.
